Description

Mediterranean Stuffed Burgers are juicy, flavorful turkey burgers packed with feta cheese, spinach, bell peppers, onion, and Mediterranean-inspired herbs. Perfect for busy weeknights, summer grilling, or meal prep, these healthy burgers deliver big flavor with simple ingredients and can be served on a bun, in a lettuce wrap, or alongside your favorite sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red chili pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, bell pepper, spinach, feta cheese, onion, Italian seasoning, red chili pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix thoroughly using clean hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  4. Preheat a grill, griddle, or skillet to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the patties on the hot cooking surface and cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping as needed.
  6. Cook until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Remove from heat and allow the burgers to rest for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Serve on burger buns, lettuce wraps, or with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Finely chop the vegetables for burgers that hold together better.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers reach 165°F.
